UC system applauds affirmation of Title IX, protects LGBTQ+ community

UC Berkeley celebrated the U.S. Department of Education’s announcement to protect students against all forms of discrimination due to sexual orientation or gender identity. The Department of Education’s announcement aligns with UC Berkeley’s mission of inclusivity and commitment to diversity.

The U.S. Department of Education and the UC Office of the President, or UCOP, announced their respective affirmations of Title IX.
