Outside Lands

On the final day of Outside Lands, artists brought on performances deserving of titles such as most affecting, youthful, best throwback and most majestic. 

On Saturday, Aminé delivered a charming, gushy set, Vampire Weekend became the crowd favorite and Lizzo brought some of the festival’s best surprises.

The second day of Outside Lands experienced the most wholesome, emotional, graceful and brazen live shows of the weekend.

On Friday, Glass Animals, Tyler, the Creator and the Strokes boasted, respectively, the most whimsical, raunchy and nostalgic sets of the entire weekend.

The first day of Outside Lands saw some of the most emo, jam-worthy, electric and lean sets of the festival.

From concerts to local farmers markets, the Bay Area is home to a wide array of venues that are both safe and lively during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The soundscape in which Dreamland 2021 lives is one of bleak techno and deep house beats, utilizing moody atmosphere to try to captivate and mesmerize as the album twists and turns.

One of the most heart-wrenching casualties of the pandemic was the loss of in-person concerts, as the performances that used to animate restaurants, bars and late-night venues seemed to vanish overnight.

The event was an attempt to maximize audiences’ growing desire to see live acts perform, and experimented with the constraints of the world’s new reality.
