US Sen. Alex Padilla announces $667 million in funding for affordable housing projects

The American Rescue Plan Act is dedicating more than $667 million in federal funding to support local affordable housing programs and projects across California. This funding aims to increase the availability of affordable housing for low-income families.

More than $667 million in federal funding will support local affordable housing programs and projects across California, as announced Thursday by U.S. Sen. Alex Padilla, D-California. The city of Berkeley is receiving about $2.7 million of the funding.
