Ann Harrison, renowned economist and UC Berkeley alumna, named dean of Haas School of Business

Harrison’s appointment ends a search to replace the previous dean Richard Lyons, who left the position June 2018. Business professor Laura Tyson was named interim dean in July, and Harrison’s appointment will begin in January 2019.

Business professor Laura Tyson named as interim dean of Haas School of Business

Tyson has had a long-established career both at Haas and in other areas of academia, including a term as dean of Haas from 1998 to 2001, and has worked in various different positions related to the world economy over the years. According to a Haas press release, the chancellor’s office hopes to have a permanent dean selected by the fall.
