The Pac-12 tournament will begin Wednesday, with the Bears kicking off play against the Arizona State Sun Devils.

For the first time since 2020, the Bears won back-to-back games against the Aggies and Ducks. However, the Buffs did not let them celebrate for long and beat the Bears 19-9.

The Bears had two difficult back-to-back games this weekend against the Trojans and the Sun Devils, falling to both teams and performing worse than in their last games against these schools last week.

Despite an intense game against USC, the Pac-12’s first-place team, and a respectable performance against Arizona State, Cal ended the weekend winless.

After falling to both in two relatively tight games this past weekend, the Bears must focus on where they fell short in order to secure the wins.

The Bears performed their best game of the season thus far against the Bison on a rainy Thursday afternoon. After losing four games in a row, the blue and gold came out on top with a whopping score of 17-1.

Instead of coming back to California in glory, the gulf in quality between the sides was put on full display, and the Bears’ nine-game losing streak was extended to 11.

Cal came away with its first win of the season after holding off Fresno State on the road. Fresh off a victory, the Bears return to Memorial Stadium this Friday for another two-game home stretch.
