A 19-year-old UC Berkeley student was arrested Tuesday morning in connection to the sexual assault of another student, according to UCPD records.

Berkeley resident William Carter, 29, was arrested by UCPD on Jan. 22 on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft, probation violation and elder abuse.

A 19-year-old Hispanic male sustained a laceration to his head after being assaulted on Grizzly Peak Boulevard during overnight hours between Friday and Saturday.
