Berkeley releases draft plans for 8,934 residential units by 2031

Based on the Regional Housing Needs Association, the state of California has mandated Berkeley to plan to build 8,934 residential units in the eight-year period spanning from 2023 to 2031.

The city of Berkeley recently released its draft Housing Element that outlines how the city plans to build the state-mandated 8,934 residential units by 2031.
