Rashno Razmkhah, a junior transfer student majoring in sociology, is running for ASUC Senate with the top endorsement from the Transfer Student Caucus. This semester, she has served as Chief of Staff intern to ASUC Senator Yasamin Hatefi.

Junior transfer Yasamin Hatefi is running for ASUC Senate with the Elevate Cal coalition on a platform of increasing transfer student representation.

Magali Mercado, a daughter of Latinx immigrants and a first-generation college student, said she found it hard to believe “someone like me” was accepted to UC Berkeley as a transfer student — and she advises current transfer students to remember that they belong.

It all began during the spring semester of my sophomore year at Santa Monica College.
