Overenrollment in EECS courses puts strain on teaching assistants

Some campus teaching assistants in the electrical engineering and computer sciences, or EECS, and computer science department raise concerns that over-enrollment are putting an increased strain on TAs.

Student demand for EECS and CS courses is increasing, leading some TAs to advocate for increased departmental funding and decreased student enrollment.

UC Berkeley students demand tech giant Palantir drop contracts with ICE

In an effort to disrupt immigration authorities’ tech talent pipeline, more than 1,400 students are vowing not to work for Silicon Valley software giant Palantir until the company cancels its contracts with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, or ICE.

UC Berkeley graduate engineering school ranked 3rd by US News

The overall ranking for Berkeley Engineering has remained the same as last year, while individual departments have either also remained the same or moved up from last year, according to Sarah Yang, executive director of marketing and communications at the college of engineering.
