Nobody asked for a sequel to the surprise semi-hit “Sicario” when it was released in 2015, but “Sicario: Day of the Soldado” has arrived nonetheless.

“Blade Runner 2049” gradually crescendos from dark, quiet dystopian drama to an epic sci-fi phenomenon, and it provides a captivating experience for audiences along the way.

As a diehard fan of Christopher Nolan and his now legendary trilogy, I do have to offer a rebuttal for my vision of the next Batman film.

There are families cluttered on Telegraph Avenue, the bookstore line is out the door, and freshmen are scrambling to find their classes. Even though classes are starting, don’t let the imminent stress of midterms, papers and all-nighters get the best of you.
