More than a week after the 2022 midterm elections, the Alameda County Registrar's Office has finalized the counting of ballots with the election results for both Alameda County and the city of Berkeley being released Friday. 

Vote counts are still ongoing for Berkeley Rent Board. Currently eight candidates are seeking election to five open seats.

Each selected candidate has been chosen for their commitment to the city and their constituents, as well as their responses to interviews with the editorial board
