While the film could have used better character shaping, it sheds light on an important aspect of the LGBTQ+ community that is seldom featured in the media.

The handheld camera and cinematography feel raw and real, following the three leads earnestly to capture their most vulnerable moments. 

Carmichael’s directing style focuses on propelling the story forward, with each successive scene scaling the action up further.

The source of Edee’s anguish finally comes into full focus, but, like so much of "Land," is only meekly connected, forming a not so subtle caveat separated from the film’s core.

“A Glitch in the Matrix” is a fun, mind-blowing watch that allows one’s mind to wander into the inconceivable. So, what if we are living in a simulation?

Cage spends too much time listening to exposition and waiting for the surprisingly listless plot to push him into the next weird occurrence.

Corbine’s winding narrative always keeps viewers in dreaded anticipation for the next big story beat and, more importantly, continues to surprise through to the end.

Wright brings an impressive attention to detail in his directing, to the point where anyone who watches the film can instantly read how dearly he admires this goofy glam rock band.

Although virtual in execution, this year’s Sundance Film Festival has still managed to uplift the heart, passion and technical excellence of the filmmaker’s creative spirit.

“Censor” is peppered with compelling moments and saturated with style, but lacks the momentum needed to deliver its low-budget horror film love-letter to the designated audience.
