UC Berkeley ranked best public university worldwide, 4th overall

According to Robert Morse, the U.S. News and World Report chief data strategist, UC Berkeley’s score of 89.8 was based on ranking indicators such as number of publications, citations and global research reputation.

UC Berkeley was ranked as the world’s top public university and fourth-best overall in the U.S. News & World Report rankings published Tuesday, with a score of 89.8 on a scale of zero to 100.

Loss of ranking impacts campus pride, reputation

Though UC Berkeley still remains a highly esteemed college, its current unranked status is disheartening

But while UC Berkeley students have a lot to be proud of, it is still incredibly disheartening for the campus to be removed from the nation’s list of top colleges.
