For the first time in more than 50 years, UC Berkeley may open another college — one for campus’ Division of Computing, Data Science and Society. 

The UC system announced a deal with SAGE Publications Tuesday to make academic articles more accessible for both authors and readers.

The UC Board of Regents kicked off its second day of meetings Wednesday on UCLA’s campus to discuss topics concerning academic affairs, governance, equity and public engagement.

Campus community members gathered to observe a UC-wide Earth Day Climate Rally Friday, also World Earth Day, and called on the UC to be proactive on climate-friendly policies.

The University of California bought a $6.5 million home in Berkeley to serve as the official living quarters for its president, Michael Drake, as well as a space for university events. 

UC Berkeley released application decisions for the freshman class of 2026 March 24, causing celebration among admitted students.

In multiple meetings Wednesday, the UC Board of Regents discussed finances, accommodations and new initiatives, among other topics.
