The UC Board of Regents reconvened Thursday to discuss undergraduate and graduate students and an overview of long-term goals for the university. 

California State Treasurer Fiona Ma announced that a total of $706.6 million in revenue bonds will fund capital projects chosen by the UC Board of Regents. 

UC Regents convened at UCSF Mission Bay Tuesday and Wednesday to discuss its investment portfolio, budget and benefits and UCSF’s acquisition of two hospitals. 

Carol Christ announced today she will step down from her role as UC Berkeley Chancellor with plans to retire at the end of June 2024.

The Immigration Legal Services Center will be offering confidential, expert screenings to help UC staff, faculty and student employees with DACA to identify potential permanent or alternative immigration options to obtain legal status.

The Student Borrower Protection Center and several UC professors delivered a letter to the UC Office of the President on Thursday, demanding that the university end online non-degree programs run by third-party companies that are affiliated with the UC system.

In order to achieve the best possible UC, there needs to be an understanding between stakeholders and administration, enabling them to work together and tackle the problems they face. 

On March 13, the UC Office of the President, or UCOP, announced the naming of Sharon Adesokan as its first Health Care Facilitator, or HCF. 

Initiatives focused on expanding the UC’s transfer admission guarantee program in the 2023-2024 state budget are under discussion amongst California lawmakers. 

The First District Court of Appeal released a tentative decision Dec. 22 regarding the lawsuit filed by Make UC a Good Neighbor against the UC Board of Regents’ Environmental Impact Report for long range developments and student housing on People’s Park.
