Former UC Berkeley professor of philosophy John Searle was stripped of his emeritus status June 19 for violating university policies regarding sexual harassment and retaliation, according to campus spokesperson Janet Gilmore.

UC regents expand UC Natural Reserve System to 41 locations

Two new field stations were added to the UC Natural Reserve System, or UCNRS, on Friday through a vote from the UC Board of Regents. The decision expands the UCNRS to 41 locations — the largest university-administered natural reserve system in the world.

Former UC Berkeley employee Alik Lee filed a lawsuit March 28 against the UC Board of Regents and two of his supervisors alleging wrongful termination based on his race, sex and age.

Complaint filed against UCOP executive for alleged racial, sexual harassment, discrimination

UC Regents employee Elizabeth Rodriguez-Dias filed a complaint to the Superior Court for the state of  California against the UC Regents after she was allegedly harassed and discriminated against by her boss Dr. John Stobo, the executive vice president at UC Health, according to Alameda County court documents filed on March 28.

UC Board of Regents discusses Upper Hearst Project, tuition hike at meeting

The UC Board of Regents’ Finance and Capital Strategies Committee discussed UC Berkeley’s Upper Hearst Project and voted affirmatively to pass a proposed nonresident tuition hike to the regents Wednesday — part of the greater regents meeting at UCLA from March 12 to 14.
