Sophomore delivers game-winner off the bench for Cal men’s soccer against Portland

Assisted once again by Carrera-Garcia as well as senior midfielder Ugo Rebecchini, sophomore forward Simon Lekressner hit the game-winner that would ultimately send the Bears home with a 2-2 season record. Lekressner had come in as a sub in the marathon game and needed just 39 minutes of playing time to seal the deal.

Cal men’s soccer secures 3rd consecutive win with victory over UC Davis

All it took was a moment of space for Cal midfielder Jose Carrera-Garcia to spot the opportunity. After receiving a successful dish from sophomore forward Paul Salcedo just outside the box, Carrera-Garcia sent an airborne pass looping over the heads of the Aggies’ men’s soccer team toward teammate Shinya Kadono.
