Berkeley Police Department officers arrested a man on suspicion of a hate crime after he yelled antisemitic statements at a Berkeley synagogue Aug. 7.

The Berkeley Marina area is set for reconstruction. This comes months after the approval of the Berkeley Marina Roadway Improvements Project, part of the city’s annual efforts to restore its deteriorating streets.

The Berkeley Fire Department is continuing to respond to a fire on the 2000 block of University Avenue that was reported at 5:39 p.m. Saturday, and as of Monday afternoon, the fire is not out.
