UC Berkeley archaeologists found that a diet of quinoa, potatoes and llama meat fueled ancient inhabitants of the Andes mountain range throughout thousands of years of changing climates.

Remembered for his kindness and geniality, John Kinloch “Jock” Anderson, professor emeritus in the campus department of classical archaeology, passed away Oct. 13. He was 91.
