Researchers restore light sensitivity in blind mice

A research team at UC Berkeley led by Richard Kramer, professor of neurobiology, has discovered a way to temporarily restore light sensitivity in mice with degenerative blindness. The team worked with researchers from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and the University of Washington, and results were published in the Feb. 19 issue of Neuron.
