UC, UPTE-CWA 9119 union reach tentative contract agreement after 2 years of negotiations

After more than two years of working without a contract, the University Technical and Professional Employees-Communications Workers of America 9119 union and the UC system reached a tentative five-year contract agreement Tuesday, which, if approved, could affect more than 13,000 UC employees.

UC workers union strikes for improved contract, workers’ rights

Members of the UC American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, or AFSCME, Local 3299 labor union gathered at the entrance of Sproul Plaza on Wednesday to strike in response to contract negotiations and UC’s alleged interference with workers’ rights.
