Gliding between understated tenderness and simmering angst, Wallice’s fiery relatability coaxed out a special language spotted with frustration, youth and desire.

Wallice is not a big shot, despite what the title of her latest EP might suggest. 

Armed with a short yet striking setlist, the ever effervescent Wallice, dressed perfectly in pink and a pair of black boots, leapt on stage to kick off a carefree and exuberant night at San Francisco’s Bimbo’s 365 Club on March 7.

Beneath the Rickshaw Stop’s sparkling string lights and shimmering disco ball, indie pop artist Wallice opened her Dec. 8 show with a bubbly sweetness that perfectly paralleled the coziness of the venue.

Wallice may not be a cowboy in the traditional sense, but as she claims her space in the indie-rock scene, she’s surely saddled in for a wild ride.
