The California Restaurant Association, or CRA, filed an appeal Aug. 4 against a July district court ruling supporting Berkeley’s ban on natural gas. 

More than a year after the California Restaurant Association, or CRA, filed a lawsuit against the city of Berkeley regarding a ban on natural gas pipes, both sides argued their cases during a hearing Tuesday. 

Earlier in December, a federal judge dismissed several local police officers from a lawsuit which claimed they used excessive force during the November 2011 Occupy Cal protests.

At a Tuesday hearing regarding the ongoing Occupy Cal lawsuit, a judge made a procedural ruling against the activist group, who is seeking $15 million in damages against the university and other parties, but allowed the group one week to refile one of their complaints.
